Mysten Labs is focused on creating foundational infrastructure to accelerate the adoption of decentralized protocols based on blockchain technologies.
The Senior Software Engineer will join the Walrus Core team, responsible for building the Walrus decentralized storage network.
The role involves developing software for Walrus’ storage nodes and infrastructure, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining the Walrus core, which encompasses storage nodes, client software, smart contracts, and toolchains.
The engineer will collaborate with research, cryptography, production, security, and Sui core teams to maintain the network's security and performance.
The position requires optimizing existing systems for scalability, efficiency, and reliability, as well as integrating new features and technologies.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in systems and/or network programming, preferably in Rust, C, or C++.
Experience in designing and developing systems in areas such as distributed systems, consensus protocols, storage/database systems, high-performance systems, or networking protocols is required.
Production experience is necessary, including operating and managing production systems, proficiency in system monitoring and alerting, with a strong focus on reliability.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Proven ability to drive complex projects to completion is essential.
