Description:
Givebutter is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join the Donor Experience team, responsible for delivering world-class software to users.
The role involves mentoring other engineers and collaborating closely with product and design teams to bring impactful features to the market.
The team primarily uses PHP, Laravel, Svelte, and MySql, and has built a foundation that powers hundreds of millions of donations to over 40,000 organizations.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining core features, performing peer code reviews, outlining engineering approaches, managing bugs and documentation, and contributing to engineering standards and code quality.

Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of engineering experience working in-house to build web applications.
A minimum of 3 years of experience using Laravel is required.
Candidates should have 3+ years of experience designing highly available and performant RESTFUL APIs.
Proven experience in building accessible applications (a11y) is necessary.
Familiarity with deploying code in an automated pipeline is required.
Experience debugging code and applications in production is essential.
Candidates must have experience writing unit tests and with SQL database design.
Experience with React, Svelte, or working with a PayFac provider (e.g., Stripe) is a plus.
