Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• PartsTech is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join their dynamic team.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various backend programming languages, Test Driven Development (TDD), continuous integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• The role involves developing cloud-native applications, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to the development of scalable system architectures.
• Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable software solutions using Java and Kotlin.
• The engineer will implement and promote best practices of software development utilizing TDD and CI/CD.
• Development and optimization of microservices architecture to ensure high performance and scalability is required.
• The engineer will ensure code quality and maintainability through regular code reviews and refactoring.
• Building and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS is a critical part of the role.
• The engineer will utilize AWS services effectively to enhance application performance, scalability, and security.
• Monitoring and managing cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and cost efficiency is expected.
• Designing and implementing scalable system architectures that meet business requirements is essential.
• Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure solutions remain cutting-edge is necessary.
• The engineer will continue to drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development processes and workflows.
• Mentoring and supporting engineers to foster their growth and development within the team is a key responsibility.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features is required.
• Effective communication with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical guidance is essential.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin is required.
• Proficiency in at least one other backend programming language is necessary.
• A strong understanding of data structures and algorithms is essential.
• A strong understanding of developing software using TDD and CI/CD practices is required.
• Extensive experience with AWS services and cloud-native development is necessary.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes (K8S) is a plus.
• Experience with microservices architecture is required.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills are essential.
• The ability to mentor and guide junior engineers is necessary.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are required.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment is essential.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience is necessary.
• A proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions is required.
