Description:
Circle is a financial technology company focused on the emerging internet of money, enabling global and efficient value transfer.
The Senior Software Engineer will extend Circle's in-house blockchain systems infrastructure to support tokenization.
Responsibilities include analyzing requirements, improving existing systems, and building scalable microservices for reliable and secure APIs.
The role involves collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to design, test, and document system design procedures and quality standards.
Troubleshooting program and system malfunctions to restore normal functioning is also part of the job.
The engineer will build publicly accessible APIs for developers to integrate with complex payment systems and integrate Platform Services with banks and financial technologies.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements:
A minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience in object-oriented languages such as Java and Go is required.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, or equivalent experience, is necessary.
Experience leading teams of 2-4 in architecture and system design is essential.
Familiarity with payment systems, including credit cards and bank transfers, is required.
A broad understanding of RESTful API design and development principles is necessary.
Experience with Cloud Services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure is required.
Proficiency in SQL databases and schema design is necessary.
Proven experience in designing and deploying production-quality, scalable software is essential.
A focus on coding standards and code quality, with a desire for great test coverage, is required.
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with remote teams are necessary.
The candidate should be a self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced environment and can work with minimal supervision.

The base pay range is between $147,500 and $195,000, with an annual bonus target of 12.5%.
Additional compensation includes equity and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) plan.
