Remote Senior Software Engineer - Front-end (Core Services)

Description:

• Formstack is seeking a Senior Front-end Engineer to join their remote-first team, which values community, learning, and growth.
• The role involves practicing Scrum methodology to ensure timely feature delivery and collaborating with an agile cross-functional team to drive product features from design to production.
• Responsibilities include converting design mock-ups into web application interfaces, designing architectural plans for front-end initiatives, and serving as a technical resource for development project plans.
• The engineer will execute projects, fix bugs, write tests, reduce technical debt, and maintain technical documentation.
• Active participation in team discussions, Scrum ceremonies, and product demos is expected, along with mentoring others to enhance their knowledge and professional development.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have previous experience working on agile cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing web-based applications is required.
• At least 3 years of advanced development experience with JavaScript and experience with TypeScript is necessary.
• Candidates should have 3+ years of experience with modern client-side web frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular, with React being preferred.
• Experience with libraries like Redux, ReduxSaga, and Reselect is required, along with interfacing with RESTful APIs and handling JSON responses.
• Proficiency with version control systems (preferably Git) and code repositories (preferably GitHub) is essential.
• Familiarity with writing SQL queries and a strong understanding of OOP concepts and software design patterns are necessary.
• Candidates must be able to work remotely with a fully distributed team and be fluent in written and spoken English.
• Outstanding attention to detail, the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively, and a positive, enthusiastic attitude are required.
• A strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is essential.

• The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $105,000 USD per year, with a potential annual bonus of up to 5% of the salary.
