Remote Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Description:

• FreeWill, an award-winning social-good startup, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join their mission-driven team.
• The company has partnered with over 1450 nonprofits and raised more than $9B in bequests to charities since its founding in 2017.
• The successful candidate will work on a modern stack including React, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Responsibilities include independently owning the design and development of new features, driving technical initiatives to improve quality and efficiency, and mentoring junior, mid-level, and senior engineers.
• The salary range for this role is $185,000-200,000, with a signing bonus, stock options, and full benefits offered.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience building production systems for complex web applications.
• Experience leading projects with multiple engineers, a product manager, and designer.
• Business-to-Business and/or Business-to-Business-to-Consumer experience preferred, fintech and/or estate planning experience a plus.
• Proficiency in web architecture, SQL, API design, and developer tooling.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, observability, performance optimization, continuous integration, automated testing, and cloud infrastructure.
• Early startup experience preferred.
