Description:
Found is building tools to support the self-employed workforce, which consists of 60 million Americans facing challenges like taxes and bookkeeping.
The Senior Software Engineer will be part of the Risk Engineering team, responsible for minimizing risk losses and fraudulent use while maintaining a good user experience.
The role involves building internal-facing products that drive business impact, shaping the long-term technical vision, and setting high-quality standards.
Daily responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, owning a wide range of systems, maintaining and iterating on code, and mentoring other engineers.
Recent team accomplishments include reducing risk for money movement methods, deploying machine-learning models to detect fraudulent accounts, and building automation for risk operations.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience with backend and frontend frameworks and technologies.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience with data systems or machine learning is required.
Experience advocating for and rolling out new technologies or open-source frameworks is necessary.
Proficiency with relational databases and large-scale databases is essential.
A passion for writing clean, simple, and self-documenting code is expected.
Additional preferred qualifications include experience in financial services, management, driving initiatives, building fault-tolerant systems, and working with Data Scientists.
