Description:

Found is building tools to support the self-employed workforce, which consists of 60 million Americans facing challenges in taxes, accounting, bookkeeping, and business banking.
The engineering team is responsible for taking products from ideation to usage by tens of thousands of users weekly, including building the product and improving technical operations.
The Taxes & Bookkeeping Team focuses on creating simple and compelling tax, bookkeeping, and payment products that save customers time and money.
The Senior Full-Stack Engineer will build Found’s core bookkeeping functionality, expand the suite of Accountant tools, grow the paid subscription offering, and enhance the Invoicing product.
Recent team accomplishments include launching an Accountant portal, a fully embedded tax filing experience, enabling transaction imports from other banks, scaling tax calculation jobs, and launching a tap-to-pay feature for mobile payments.
Daily responsibilities include collaborating with engineers, working with designers and product managers, determining feature development processes, and building secure and maintainable code.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience with backend and frontend frameworks.
A passion for learning and growing as an engineer and team member is essential.
Knowledge of Ruby on Rails, React, Typescript, MySQL, and Redis is required.
Experience with some of the technologies used by Found is preferred.
Previous startup experience or demonstrated technical initiative on past projects is a plus.
Interest or experience in financial services, accounting, and self-employment is beneficial.
Experience in tax-related products or services is advantageous.
Experience as a manager, tech lead, architect, or founding engineer is not required but is a plus.
