Remote Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack with Front-End Focus)

Description:

• Modern Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a Full-Stack focus on Front-End development for their mental health benefits platform.

• Responsibilities include full stack web application development, defining code performance strategies, evolving testing practices, and implementing web and mobile user experiences using React and React Native.
• The engineer will work with technologies like GraphQL, Python (Django, Flask), PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in full stack web development using React, Javascript, Typescript, and Python.
• Experience with GraphQL and/or REST APIs, scaling relational databases, and excellent communication skills are required.
• Additional qualifications include the ability to mentor a distributed development team, a passion for improving lives, and experience leading large-scale projects as a technical thought leader.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages.
• At least 2 years of production experience in full stack web development with React, Javascript, Typescript, and Python.
• 2+ years of production experience in Python strongly preferred.
• Experience building and maintaining GraphQL and/or REST APIs.
• Proficiency in scaling relational databases like PostgreSQL and writing performant queries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively work with and mentor a distributed development team.
• Passion for building solutions to enhance the lives of others.
• Experience leading and architecting large-scale projects as a technical thought leader.
