Join PolicyMe, a remote-first, Toronto-based startup modernizing the insurance industry in Canada.
As a Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack), you will build, architect, and scale PolicyMe’s platform to enhance user experiences.
You will be responsible for developing key features and systems to support PolicyMe’s growth as a leading insurance brand in Canada.
Build end-to-end experiences for a web-based application to create a modern and straightforward life insurance customer journey.
Collaborate closely with product, design, and QA teams in a cross-functional environment.
Serve as a role model for engineering standards, ensuring consistency across various codebases and processes.
Drive sound technical decision-making and lead technical discussions.
Ensure the platform is reliable, scalable, secure, and extensible.

Requirements:

A strong technical background with at least 5 years of experience in web development.
Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and build products from the ground up.
Experience as a generalist, working on both frontend and backend tasks to solve problems and delight users.
Demonstrated pride in successfully completing projects involving a variety of technologies and systems.
Strong development skills in React, Python, and Node.js.
