Description:
The Senior Software Engineer will be part of the Attachment Architects team responsible for attachment-related use-cases within the Smartsheet ecosystem.
Collaborate with other teams to enable users to attach files from various locations and provide services to download and replicate attachments.
Work on re-architecture, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of frontend UI, services, and infrastructure.
Build scalable back-end services using Kotlin and Java.
Develop responsive UI elements using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, HTML, and CSS.
Solve distributed systems problems and work with modern cloud infrastructure like AWS and Kubernetes.
Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and mentor junior engineers.
Design key areas of scalable, performant systems and collaborate with product management and other business areas.
Requirements:
5+ years of software development experience in building highly scalable applications.
Proficiency in full stack technologies such as Java, Kotlin, or TypeScript for at least 5 years.
Experience with microservice and event-driven architectures for 3+ years.
Familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure for 2+ years.
Knowledge of modern client JS libraries like React, Redux for 2+ years.
Ability to develop, document, and support REST APIs.
Understanding of software development patterns (SOLID, clean code, TDD) and practices (Agile, Scrum, Gitlab, JIRA).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis.
