Description:
Wellhub, formerly Gympass, is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager for their CODE team in Brazil.
The role involves leading growth-focused teams, guiding tech leads, and fostering technical excellence and strong team dynamics.
Responsibilities include shaping engineering and product development landscapes, ensuring technical strategies align with business objectives, and driving architecture decisions impacting development interactions.
The CODE team focuses on the end-user experience, making wellbeing universal through the Wellhub app, frontend, backend services, and design system.
The position involves working with cutting-edge technologies on a global scale and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with product goals and business strategies.
Requirements:
Passion for software and product development with a high level of ownership over products.
Proficiency in at least two programming languages like Java, Scala, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, or Golang.
Experience with SQL/NoSQL technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, and event-driven architectures like RabbitMQ, KAFKA, ActiveMQ.
Ability to manage managers of software engineering teams and familiarity with DDD, SOLID, Design Patterns, distributed systems, and architecture.
Skilled in implementing prototypes, MVP, A/B testing, and feature toggles for feature rollouts.
Strong communication skills in English and Portuguese.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
