Description:
Olo develops an online food ordering platform used by many of the country's largest restaurant chains, reaching millions of consumers.
As a full-stack engineer, you will architect, develop, scale, and monitor solutions across the Olo Engage marketing suite.
The software products support brands in harnessing guest data to market and engage with their guests, boosting retention and lowering acquisition costs.
You will design and build reliable solutions to complex problems at scale.
Responsibilities include planning, architecting, and building the next generation of restaurant marketing tools from frontend to backend.
You will own the code and services you deploy, observe performance, and identify emerging problems.
The role involves assessing and resolving production incidents in the components your team manages.
You will help scale the company to the next level of growth and reliability as it continues to onboard enterprise clients.
Mentoring and guiding team members in best practices around distributed systems and code architecture is expected.
You will look for diverse perspectives and challenge business and technical assumptions.
Providing constructive criticism to build the team's overall strength is part of the role.
Timely satisfaction of commitments is essential.
Requirements:
You must have 6+ years of on-the-job development experience.
Strong experience with technologies such as Vue.js, Node.js, Typescript, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Redis, Microservices, distributed messaging systems, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD is required.
Experience in architecting and developing end-to-end flows in a distributed/microservices application architecture is necessary.
You should have experience developing for highly available and horizontally scalable SaaS platforms.
Writing unit tests and testable code, and working under distributed version control is expected.
A bias for whole team quality rather than throwing code over the wall is important.
You should have a bias for working in a highly collaborative team environment.
Empathy for customer needs and excellent communication skills are essential.
A product-minded approach to solving difficult problems is required.
You must have the legal right to work in the U.S.
