Description:

  • The Senior Software Engineer will join Percona's Global Advanced Services team to work on database management and related solutions.
  • Responsibilities include designing, coding, implementing, and documenting improvements to a high standard.
  • The role involves creating and submitting patches for review, performing root cause analysis of defects, developing test cases, participating in code and design reviews, diagnosing and fixing defects, and creating consumable documentation.
  • The engineer will also share knowledge through conferences, blog posts, and public forums, as well as provide support to services teams.
  • The position offers a flexible work schedule with the requirement of a reliable high-speed internet connection.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on, production experience as a developer in Linux environments, including related tools/build processes.
  • Self-motivated with a track record of exceeding expectations.
  • Experience in distributed system development, database-related development, git, shell scripting, and working autonomously in a globally distributed organization.
  • Proficiency in collaborating with open-source communities and colleagues, using tools like Jira/Notion, and effective communication in English.
  • Quick learner and great team player.
