Description:
Roofstock is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with expertise in Ruby on Rails and React to lead and mentor a collaborative team.
The role involves working closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to design, build, and ship user-facing products.
Responsibilities include leading the design, development, and deployment of high-quality web applications, implementing innovative features, and enhancing user experience.
The position requires evaluating and improving application performance, scalability, and security, as well as conducting code reviews and providing mentorship to junior engineers.
The candidate will stay updated on emerging technologies, drive continuous improvement in development processes, and adhere to best practices.
Requirements:
5+ years of technical experience and a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) are required.
Extensive experience in Ruby on Rails and React in a senior or lead role is necessary.
Proficiency in database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), database design, RESTful web services, and modern web development technologies (HTML/CSS/ES6) is essential.
Strong problem-solving skills, agile development methodologies knowledge, and excellent communication skills are mandatory.
Familiarity with CI/CD processes, AWS and Azure cloud services, start-up or agile environments, and React Native mobile development are nice-to-haves.

The position offers a competitive annual base salary ranging from $156,500 to $243,225, with adjustments based on experience and location.
