Description:
The Senior Software Engineer will be part of the RFQ team at 0x, focusing on delivering elite pricing to end users by allowing Market Makers to provide liquidity in real time.
The role involves scaling systems to ingest price updates from market makers at rapid speeds while handling thousands of requests per second.
Responsibilities include designing high-performance systems, building self-healing software, and improving the market maker experience.
The RFQ team utilizes a tech stack that includes Redis, TypeScript, Rust, and Solidity, along with Kubernetes and Grafana/Prometheus.
The engineer will own entire features from specification to shipping and collaborate cross-functionally with various teams.
Staying updated with the rapidly evolving blockchain space is essential, as is being a steward of the engineering culture focused on simplicity, maintainability, and performance.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5 years or more of engineering experience.
A generalist background is required, with the ability to design and build systems from the ground up, including relational or key-value data stores, distributed event-driven architectures, and cloud-based deployment, preferably on AWS.
Experience with Redis, TypeScript, Rust, or similar languages is necessary.
Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills are required.
Previous exposure to Web3 or blockchain applications is preferred.
A passion for decentralization and the mission of 0x is essential.
Candidates must be located in the Americas time zone.

The base salary range for this position is USD $95,000 - $230,000, plus equity, ZRX tokens, and benefits, with individual pay determined by various factors.
