Description:
Prisma is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Rust to contribute to the development of the Prisma Query Engine and Prisma Client.
The role involves expanding and enhancing the core of the Prisma Query Engine to create a market-leading ORM in collaboration with the open-source community.
Collaborate with a team of engineers to improve the Prisma Client and create solutions that cater to developers of all experience levels.
The position requires creating well-tested and documented code that is easily understandable and contributable by the community.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer.
Proficiency in Rust, particularly in a professional setting, is essential.
Strong knowledge of major relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, and MSSQL, with expertise in indexing and schema design for optimized query performance.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively, offer help to peers, seek feedback, and engage in effective planning and task estimation.
Desirable skills include experience in systems-level programming, TypeScript, JavaScript, writing performant server code, and building developer tools.
