Description:

Latitude AI is an automated driving technology company developing a hands-free, eyes-off driver assist system for next-generation Ford vehicles at scale.
The Virtual Test Ecosystem (VTE) team implements the tooling used for simulations and resimulations, including backend C++ frameworks and Python-based tooling for large-scale cloud operations.
The role involves adding new features to the C++ simulation/resimulation framework, working with autonomy and testing teams to understand their needs, and supporting troubleshooting and bug fixes.
Responsibilities include analyzing simulation reproducibility, developing tooling for root-cause analysis, and learning the autonomy stack to effectively bridge between teams.

Requirements:

Expertise in modern C++ (C++17) is required.
Candidates must be self-driven to write efficient, well-tested, and well-documented code that conforms to the style guide.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in developing software for autonomous vehicles is necessary.
At least 1 year of experience in developing software for a simulation environment is required.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience is needed, or a Master's degree with 2+ years, or a PhD.
Strong communication skills and a desire to collaborate with internal and external team members to create robust solutions are essential.
Nice to have: Python development experience and AWS or similar cloud experience.
