Description:

Snapsheet is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Site Reliability Engineering team, with a focus on ensuring technology reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
This is a full-time, remote position, and candidates must be based in the US.
The role is hands-on, involving both infrastructure management and software development.
Responsibilities include improving tooling and automation of infrastructure, building and maintaining core applications, operating an internal observability platform, monitoring systems, collaborating with service engineering teams, and automating processes for deployment efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for building reliable systems and streamlining operations.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience as a full-stack software engineer.
Experience in building and maintaining scalable, resilient services is necessary.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages is required, with a strong preference for Ruby on Rails, Python, or Java.
Experience with designing and building APIs, schema design, and performant queries for relational databases is essential.
Candidates should have knowledge of scalability and performance optimization of server-side code, frontend development using React or similar frameworks, and backend development using Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks.
A deep understanding of web technologies such as HTTP, cookies, caching, and ES6 is required.
Familiarity with tooling, automation, and system monitoring for performance optimization is necessary.
Experience with CI/CD frameworks like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins is required.
Bonus skills include strong experience with infrastructure as code tools and expertise in operating ECS.
