Description:
- Special role within the Lace engineering team for handling unplanned, ad-hoc, or backlogged work and improving ecosystem developer relations.
- Developing open source financial software in the emerging Web3 space, facing challenges like rapid protocol development and coordination with external contributors.
- Working in a small squad responsible for emergency fixes, observability, monitoring, and technical debt reduction.
- Operating independently but interfacing with Software Engineering Leads and Product Owners when needed.
- Writing documentation, verifying and deploying programs, and leading the design of components and their integration.
Requirements:
- Pragmatic adherence to software engineering principles like modularity, MVP thinking, and continuous improvement.
- Technical leadership across related domains, writing idiomatic code with sufficient test coverage, and documenting code and APIs clearly.
- Knowledge of distributed and concurrent computation, basics of cryptography, and experience in the Web3 space.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, practical Agile experience, and familiarity with Git workflow.
- Degree in Computer Science (desirable), expertise in TypeScript/ES6/NodeJS, Web Extension, HTML/CSS/SASS, React, and other specialist skills.
