Description:

  • Boclips is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their fully remote team based in the UK and Europe.
  • The company focuses on creating a platform for educational content, partnering with over 650 content creators to integrate videos into learning experiences.
  • As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate with the team to enhance content discoverability, subscriptions, orders management, and more.

  • The tech stack includes React, TypeScript, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, GCP, AWS, Elastic Cloud, and MongoDB Atlas.

Requirements:

  • Must have extensive experience in building full-stack applications with back-end technologies like Kotlin/Java; familiarity with front-end technologies like React/Typescript is a bonus.
  • Ability to work across the technology stack and engage in both front-end and back-end development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a holistic approach, understanding business context, and providing proactive solutions.
  • Thrives in a collaborative environment, open to pair programming, TDD, and other Extreme Programming practices.
  • Advocates for high-quality code, continuous improvement, and effective communication in English.
  • Must be based in the UK or Europe with at least 6 hours of overlap with GMT and willing to work within GMT +/- 2 hours.
  • Experience with microservices and Kubernetes is a plus.

Benefits:

  • Salary range of £75-90k (UK-based) or equivalent in the candidate's country of residence, dependent on experience.
  • Discretionary annual bonus based on revenue performance.
