Description:
Syndica is creating the Cloud of Web3, providing enterprise-grade RPC infrastructure and developer tools for the Solana ecosystem.
The Senior Software Engineer will design and implement a high-performance Solana validator client from scratch.
The role involves working on an open-source Solana validator client, Sig, using the Zig programming language.
Responsibilities include understanding and communicating the existing Rust code, writing high-quality code in Zig, conducting performance research, owning the implementation and testing of validator components, and collaborating with a team of engineers.
Success in this role includes becoming a core Zig developer within three months, earning team trust and mentoring new engineers within six months, and establishing a predictable delivery cadence within twelve months.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of professional experience using Rust, with experience in memory-managed languages like Zig, C, or C++ being a plus.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant experience is required.
Strong communication skills are necessary to simplify complex ideas and collaborate effectively with a large group of engineers.
