Description:
Tenable is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager for Attack Surface Management to lead the development of a product focused on understanding and mitigating cybersecurity risks for perimeter-less networks.
The role involves managing a team of engineers working on a SaaS product offering, including both on-site and remote engineers, with a focus on creating a positive working environment.
Responsibilities include collaborating with Product Management and Engineering leadership to define strategy, roadmap, and execution for the product, ensuring reliable project delivery, and mentoring engineers for professional development.
The position requires a deep understanding of complex software architecture, experience in Agile project management, and the ability to attract, hire, and mentor top engineering talent.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality, a customer-centric approach, and experience in cybersecurity and microservices development.
This role is based in the greater Boston MA, San Jose/San Francisco CA, or Columbia MD areas.
Requirements:
4+ years of experience as an engineering manager in SaaS and on-prem based product development.
Proficiency in understanding complex software architecture, particularly SaaS systems and Microservices.
Experience leading projects in an Agile environment using Scrum and/or Kanban methodologies.
Ability to attract, hire, manage, and mentor engineers for long-term success.
Strong understanding of end-to-end system architecture flows and microservices development.
Knowledge of best practices in legacy development, scalability, and performance.
Familiarity with cybersecurity space and based in specific geographical areas.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
