Description:
Wellhub (formerly Gympass) is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager for their Mobile Platform team in Brazil.
The role involves leading the mobile platform and design system teams, guiding staff engineers and tech leads, and fostering technical excellence and strong team dynamics.
The Senior Software Engineering Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping engineering and product development landscapes to align with business objectives.
Responsibilities include developing a vision for the CODE Ecosystem, driving mobile architecture decisions, and working with cutting-edge technologies on a global scale.
The CODE teams are responsible for developing and maintaining Wellhub's App, frontend, backend services, and design system, collaborating closely with product, UX, and data teams to create an excellent user experience.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience.
Passion for software and product development with a high level of ownership over products.
Proactive, innovative, and data-driven individual who values facts and data in decision-making.
Experienced in mobile development (Android, iOS, React Native, Flutter).
Proficiency in at least two programming languages like Kotlin, Java, Scala, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, or Golang.
Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, and event-driven architectures.
Experience managing managers of software engineering teams and knowledge of DDD, SOLID, Design Patterns, distributed systems, and architecture.
Strong communication skills in English and Portuguese.
