Description:
The Senior Staff Software Engineer will join Prove at a pivotal moment in its growth, significantly impacting the engineering team and product development.
This role involves influencing and driving technical changes across multiple teams, including the introduction of new technologies and processes.
The engineer will bridge hands-on technical contributions with effective business decision-making.
Responsibilities include leading design and architecture for software components, conducting architecture reviews, and advocating for simplicity and cohesive APIs.
The engineer will take ownership of new code from prototype to production and represent teams in technical discussions and negotiations.
The role requires championing engineering excellence, establishing metrics for assessment, and providing mentorship to less senior engineers.
The engineer will collaborate with the Product organization to refine requirements and maintain high engineering standards.
Participation in the senior technical leadership team is expected to help shape company strategy and culture.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in building high-volume data-driven SaaS systems.
A minimum of 5 years in an architect or technical leadership role is required.
Expert-level development experience in multiple coding languages and software stacks is essential.
A proven track record of designing and building major components of large-scale SaaS solutions is necessary.
Candidates should possess a knack for solving complex problems with simple solutions.
Solid knowledge of building secure systems and understanding of algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization techniques is required.
Excellent communication skills are a must.
Candidates should promote and enhance cultural values of humility, passion, inclusion, and leadership.
A strong passion for learning about products and markets through training is expected.
Experience in high-growth or pre-IPO technology companies is preferred.
