Remote Senior Transportation Design Engineer

Description:

• AECOM is seeking a Senior Transportation Design Engineer to work remotely and support transportation projects in Illinois and Chicago.
• Responsibilities include developing design procedures, software, and tools for technical project activities.
• Manage communication and collaboration with the design team and clients.
• Conduct interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables and develop technical effort estimates.
• Create project designs and plans, prepare presentation and design drawings.
• Oversee the development and implementation of technical approaches.
• Meet with clients to ensure project needs are met.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management, Professional Engineer license, and 12+ years of transportation project management experience.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, CAD, and Design software packages.
• Familiarity with IDOT, ISTHA, and local agency specifications.
• Ability to proactively communicate and established relationships with local clients.
• Experience with alternative delivery methods.
