Remote Senior UI Artist

Description:

• Koin Games is seeking a highly skilled Senior UI Artist to join their remote team.
• The role involves designing user-focused, multi-platform experiences that are innovative and intuitive.
• Responsibilities include conceptualizing, creating, and implementing UI art on brand for multiple platforms, including menus, in-game overlays, VFX, animation, and all UI-related visuals.
• The artist will create engaging art and animation that enhances the UI with fun transitions, button animations, and hover states.
• Collaboration with the CCO, Director of Art Management, and Design team is essential to transform prototypes into polished, production-ready experiences.
• The artist will ensure UI art assets are created optimally while adhering to visual quality standards.
• Establishing standards for all UI art and documenting best practices across multiple platforms is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience designing UI for games, products, or platforms.
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, or other industry design and prototyping tools is required.
• Experience in Unity is a plus, particularly in asset implementation.
• Expertise in designing across PC, iOS, and Android platforms, with an understanding of their differences and trade-offs is necessary.
• Candidates should have optimal asset creation experience in Unity for both PC and mobile.
• A minimum of a BA/BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required.
• At least 3 years of experience working with game engines such as Unity or Unreal is necessary.
• Secondary UX skills in interaction design, visual design, and UI animation are preferred.
• Candidates must demonstrate the ability to thrive in a remote work environment with excellent time management and communication skills.

Benefits:

• The base salary for this role ranges from $80,000 to $120,000, depending on skills and experience.
• This is a full-time, exempt position that is fully remote.
• Employees are required to work core hours on Pacific time.
• Global, non-US candidates will be considered only on a contract basis.
