Description:

The role of a Senior/Staff DevOps Engineer involves working with developers throughout the software development life cycle to ensure reliable and high-quality code releases.
The engineer will support the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) in modernizing the secure transfer, storage, and access of critical government records.
Responsibilities include managing cloud-based systems in Microsoft Azure, ensuring their efficient, secure, and reliable operation.
Key tasks involve configuring Azure resources, managing user roles, monitoring system performance, implementing security controls, performing system administration, and optimizing resource usage.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience managing Azure environments, including ExpressRoute and Virtual Networks.
Expertise in cloud security tools such as Azure Security Center and Network Security Groups is required.
Strong system administration experience with both Linux and Windows Server environments is necessary.
Proficiency in monitoring tools like Azure Monitor and Log Analytics is essential.
Experience with Azure Backup for managing backups and disaster recovery is required.
Candidates should be able to optimize cloud resource performance and costs using Azure Cost Management tools.
Experience with AWS operations, including AWS Fargate, GitHub Actions, and Docker, is necessary.
