Description:

Coda is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer for their Experimentation team in Manila, Philippines.
The role involves designing and developing highly scalable, reliable, secure, and fault-tolerant systems using state-of-the-art technology.
The engineer will work directly with Product and Technology team members to define and implement complex features.
Responsibilities include collaborating with team members to share best practices, optimizing products, debugging production issues, and taking operational responsibility for team-owned services.
The position supports a healthy work/life balance with on-call rotations to minimize interruptions.
The Experimentation team aims to build a world-class experimentation platform that simplifies feature switching and A/B testing while delivering customer behavior and business information to users.

Requirements:

Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in software development.
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
Strong knowledge of one or more programming languages (Java, Scala, Kotlin, Groovy, Go, C/C++, Rust, Python, C#, etc.) is essential, along with the ability to learn new languages quickly.
Practical experience in front-end technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, modern frameworks like VueJS, React, etc.) is necessary.
A strong understanding of software architecture and data systems (RDBMS, NoSQL, Queues, etc.) is required.
Candidates should have a desire to build automation into their work, including CI/CD practices and test automation.
Understanding of agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum) is important.
Good command of the English language and effective communication skills are required.
