Description:
Prepared is seeking a highly experienced frontend engineer with a strong focus on architecture and design to join their team.
This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a small, growing engineering team of 11 engineers while operating with a high degree of autonomy and ownership.
The engineer will lead frontend architecture decisions and collaborate cross-functionally to launch new user-facing features and products.
The position involves working closely with the design team to architect and build a best-in-class in-house design system, enabling the use of simple and reusable components for complex UIs.
The engineer will drive improvements in engineering processes and tools to scale the codebase, productivity, and team.
Providing technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced engineers is a key responsibility.
Participation in a global on-call rotation to triage incidents across the stack and help maintain 99.999% availability goals is required.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on designing and engineering user-facing features and interfaces.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Expert-level proficiency in React and TypeScript is essential.
Proven experience in frontend architecture and design systems is necessary.
Candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
A passion for building beautiful, performant, and scalable user experiences with high quality and craft is important.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
Experience working closely with product and design teams is necessary.
Bonus points for experience in an early-stage startup, a track record of successfully building or contributing to design systems at scale, and design experience or expertise.
