The Senior/Staff Software Engineer will support the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) in modernizing the secure transfer, storage, and access of critical government records.
The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining software systems that cater to both users of government services and Skylight’s government partners.
Responsibilities include engineering software products as part of a cross-functional team, advocating for lean-agile engineering principles, selecting appropriate tools and technologies, and analyzing systems for improvement opportunities.

Additional qualifications include experience with databases, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD best practices, infrastructure as code, multiple programming languages, AWS, Angular JS, Spring Boot, Docker, data migration, legacy code, and civic tech experience.
