The Site Reliability Engineer will manage, maintain, improve, and provide support for the Tyk platform.
Responsibilities include maintaining the global Tyk Cloud, identifying reliability issues, introducing new metrics, participating in on-call rotations, documenting operational knowledge, conducting post-incident analysis, automating tasks, and driving operational efficiency.
The role requires collaboration with a distributed team and offers the opportunity to shape Tyk’s Cloud platform as the company grows.

Requirements:

Strong collaboration skills are essential for this position.
Experience in launching and operating production scale Kubernetes clusters is required.
Candidates must have experience designing and operating infrastructure on AWS and other providers.
Proficiency in operating MongoDB or other document database clusters is necessary.
Experience with operating Redis or other key-value storage clusters is required.
Candidates must be skilled in administering Linux servers and maintaining distributed software.
Familiarity with operating Prometheus and Grafana is necessary.
Experience with logging collection and analysis systems is required.
Participation in the on-call rotation from 16:00pm to 4:00am UTC is expected.
Advanced skills in Kubernetes, AWS/EKS, and Linux are required.
Proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is necessary.
Familiarity with Helm, Go, or Python is preferred.
A grasp of networking concepts and common networking protocols is required.
