Description:
The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Tyk is responsible for ensuring the production Cloud environment operates within defined SLAs through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
They collaborate with the Senior SRE to enhance system reliability by implementing proactive alerting and monitoring systems.
The SRE contributes to defining key performance metrics for Cloud services, proposes solutions to maintain and enhance performance indicators, and gathers and analyzes metrics to optimize system performance.
They drive innovation by optimizing system and infrastructure performance, work on scalability, automation, software development, root cause analysis, and upgrades and migrations.
The role involves providing on-call support, creating documentation, and ensuring the efficient management of the Cloud infrastructure.
Requirements:
Strong collaboration skills are required for this position.
Experience in launching and operating production Kubernetes clusters.
Proficiency in designing and operating infrastructure on AWS and other providers.
Ability to operate MongoDB and Redis clusters, administer Linux servers, and maintain distributed software.
Familiarity with operating Prometheus, Grafana, logging collection and analysis systems, and working within specific hours.
Strong working knowledge of Kubernetes, Containers, Go and/or Python, AWS, Linux, Terraform, Helm, MongoDB, Redis, monitoring & logging, networking concepts, and common networking protocols.
