Remote Site Reliability Engineer - Delivery:Deployments, North America (Mountain Standard Timezone)

Description:

• The Site Reliability Engineer with a specialization in Delivery: Deployments at GitLab will work on improving the delivery platform, release management tooling, and processes.
• Responsibilities include guaranteeing the GitLab Release Process, creating new tools to automate the release process, building new GitLab release features, and collaborating with teams to implement solutions for quicker releases.
• The role involves creating frameworks for scalable code, enhancing observability, working with Infrastructure teams, communicating release schedules, developing monitoring and alerting systems, and optimizing process bottlenecks.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate should have boundless curiosity and a demonstrable ability to learn.
• Experience working on large-scale systems and with release processes and tooling is required.
• Proficiency in different deployment strategies, hands-on experience with Kubernetes, and a strong background in application and systems observability are necessary.
• A product development mindset when developing new components is essential for this role.
