Description:
The Site Reliability Engineer with a specialization in Delivery: Deployments at GitLab will work on improving the delivery platform, release management tooling, and processes.
Responsibilities include guaranteeing the GitLab Release Process, creating new tools to automate the release process, building new GitLab release features, and collaborating with teams to implement solutions for quicker releases.
The role involves creating frameworks for scalable code, enhancing observability, working with Infrastructure teams, communicating release schedules, developing monitoring and alerting systems, and optimizing process bottlenecks.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have boundless curiosity and a demonstrable ability to learn.
Experience working on large-scale systems and with release processes and tooling is required.
Proficiency in different deployment strategies, hands-on experience with Kubernetes, and a strong background in application and systems observability are necessary.
A product development mindset when developing new components is essential for this role.
