Remote Software Architect, Contract

• The company is seeking a senior contractor for a 4+ month remote assignment with the potential to extend.
• Candidates should possess the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 8+ years of experience designing, architecting, and implementing microservices architecture.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in designing architecture is required.
• Proficiency in Java and Springboot is mandatory.
• Experience with app dependencies such as 3rd party restful calls, Kafka, Database, and Ping is desired but not required.
• Experience developing applications on the Google Cloud Platform suite of products and services is desirable.
• Candidates should have deep knowledge of software architecture in distributed systems.
• The ability to conduct code reviews and mentor software engineers is necessary.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in developing cloud-native applications is required.
• Experience in both front-end and back-end development is necessary, with deeper experience in backend development and familiarity with full-stack development.
• Familiarity with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD) is required.
• Candidates should be familiar with the scrum process and Git.
• Experience establishing CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery is necessary.
• A background in professional services/consulting is preferred.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Candidates should be eager to work in a teamwork/collaborative environment.
