Description:
LivePerson is seeking a Front-End Software Development Engineer to join the Web Experiences team, which consists of eight engineers across four countries.
The role is fully remote, although there are offices available in Mannheim, Germany.
The engineer will work collaboratively in a cross-functional team to transform user stories into prototypes and production code.
Responsibilities include applying UI design principles for responsive web design, building and deploying user-facing features for multiple browsers, and ensuring optimized code for a seamless user experience across all platforms.
The engineer will identify and eliminate performance and scalability issues that affect both front-end and back-end systems.

Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in web-intensive applications.
A deep knowledge of client-side architecture and experience in building large-scale, high-performance web applications is required.
Proficiency in web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3, is essential.
Experience with vanilla JavaScript, CSS preprocessors like SASS or LESS, and build tools such as Webpack, Gulp, or Grunt is necessary.
A good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX is required.
Candidates must have a proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and code versioning tools like Git.
Knowledge of scalability design principles and user experience/accessibility principles is important.
A self-starter attitude with strong motivation and execution capabilities is expected.
Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks such as Jasmine and Karma, as well as proficiency in JavaScript ES6, TypeScript, and Vue 3, is a plus.
Willingness to participate in paid on-call duty approximately every 6-8 weeks is required.
