Description:
LivePerson is seeking a Software Development Engineer - II (Web) to join their team in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, with remote work options available.
The company is a leader in enterprise conversations, providing a Conversational Cloud platform used by major brands to enhance customer interactions.
The role involves owning the design and implementation of significant portions of product development and maintaining existing web applications.
Responsibilities include coordinating with engineers to integrate backend APIs, collaborating with UX teams and Product Management to optimize user experience, and developing technical specifications and documentation.
The candidate will also monitor industry standards and best practices while providing customer support.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
The candidate must have 5+ years of experience building successful web applications in production.
Deep knowledge of client-side architecture and experience in building large-scale, high-performance web applications is essential.
Proficiency in web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3, is required.
The candidate should have experience with client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, particularly AngularJS, Angular 8.x, VueJs, and ReactJS.
Experience with CSS preprocessors such as SASS or LESS is necessary.
Familiarity with data visualization libraries like d3.js and build tools such as Webpack, Gulp, or Grunt is required.
A good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX is essential.
Proficiency in cross-browser compatibility issues and code versioning tools like Git is required.
The candidate should have a good understanding of scalability design principles and user experience principles.
Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and excellent communication skills are necessary.
Being a team player is essential, and knowledge of frontend testing frameworks such as Jasmine and Karma, as well as proficiency with JavaScript ES6 and Typescript, is a plus.
Knowledge of Node.js is also a plus.
