Remote Software Development Engineer III

Description:

• Palmetto, a leading clean energy company, is seeking a Software Development Engineer III to join their remote team in the US.
• The role involves working with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React.js, Node.js) and contributing to the full software development life cycle of the platform.
• The engineer will collaborate with a multi-discipline team in an Agile environment focused on innovation and product development.
• Responsibilities include designing client-side and server-side solutions, developing applications and databases, writing tests, troubleshooting, and upgrading software.
• The position requires active participation in code reviews, crafting scalable solutions, and collaborating with product owners and the development team.

Requirements:

• Must have experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• 5+ years of professional engineering experience and familiarity with Node.js and popular SPA frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a passion for technology, and a collaborative mindset.
• Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop quality code following best practices.
• Openness to collaboration through code and PR review processes.
