Description:
Protegrity is seeking a Software QA Engineer to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, reliable, and secure software.
The role involves designing, implementing, automating, and executing comprehensive testing strategies and frameworks.
Responsibilities include conducting functional, integration, regression, performance, and security tests.
The engineer will collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to align test coverage with product requirements.
The position requires the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks to enhance QA processes.
The engineer will report and document bugs and testing results, providing actionable insights to development teams.
Continuous evaluation and improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies are essential for timely software delivery.
The role advocates for quality best practices and identifies areas for improvement.
The engineer will ensure product scalability, performance, and security through thorough testing and collaboration.
Requirements:
Candidates must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance is necessary, including hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
Proficiency in developing and executing automated tests using tools like Selenium, JUnit, or Pytest is required.
A solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices such as TDD, BDD, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines is essential.
Experience with modern distributed cloud application architecture and cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is needed.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required to diagnose and troubleshoot complex software issues.
Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes is necessary.
A strong understanding of REST API testing, performance testing, and security testing is required.
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and experience working in Scrum teams is essential.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary to convey complex information to various stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications include experience using Python programming, knowledge of Data Protection, Privacy, and Security standards, and experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch.
Candidates must reside in Portugal and not require visa sponsorship to work in the country.
