• Responsibilities include creating exciting new features and products across all product lines, writing internal documentation, creating thorough test cases, and communicating engineering decisions to the team.
• The engineer will own problems end-to-end, considering user experience, data models, scalability, operability, and ongoing metrics.
• The role involves identifying opportunities for improvement and suggesting solutions via Request for Change (RFC) documents.
• Understanding how to deploy projects to production and stitching different services and processes together in a cohesive project is essential.
• The engineer will help build the company culture from the ground up alongside the founders and other early team members.
• Significant time will be required to learn about the scrap metal recycling industry to understand the unique customer persona and build compelling products.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have experience in building large scale database-backed web applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, along with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and succinctly.
• Knowledge of the technology stack is important; familiarity with TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, React, GraphQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL is preferred.
• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Cognito, S3, and RDS is beneficial, as well as a robust CI/CD system on GitHub Actions and Docker.
• Nice to have skills include domain knowledge of SaaS products, especially Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Domain Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture, and Test Driven Development (TDD).
