Description:
The position is for a Full Stack Software Engineer working 100% remotely anywhere in the US.
The role involves modernizing a suite of applications for a long-term government contract.
The engineer will work under the supervision of the Development Manager as a key member of a scrum team in an Agile Safe and Dev SecOps culture.
Primary responsibilities include developing and maintaining a web application/portal using Java, AWS Containers, Angular, Node.js, React technologies, and AWS native services.
Responsibilities include participating in all phases of Agile methodology, sprint planning meetings, application enhancements, and building new products across all application layers.
The engineer will implement code using AWS Native Services and AWS Serverless technologies, engage with architects/product teams, and design solutions following established frameworks and quality processes.
The role also involves performing code reviews, translating requirements into technical specifications, maintaining modern and legacy systems, and troubleshooting issues in various environments.
Requirements:
Candidates must have extensive experience in developing code using AWS Serverless technologies and AWS container infrastructure.
Proficiency in coding with Java, NodeJS, JavaScript, and Angular (Typescript) is required.
Experience with Web Services (SOAP/REST), XML, JSON, and working within a Continuous Integration environment using Docker and Kubernetes is necessary.
Strong understanding of RESTful API design, JSON, and API security is essential.
Candidates should have excellent knowledge of AWS Infrastructure, Services, Configuration, and automation.
Experience with tools such as Maven, Gradle, ANT, Grunt, Jenkins, and other CI/CD tools is required.
The ability to identify and solve technical problems independently and efficiently is necessary.
Candidates should have experience managing the complete software development process from conception to deployment and overseeing the analysis, building, documentation, and deployment of software.
Expertise in AWS services like ECS, API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, and AWS Cognito is required.
A Bachelor's degree in a technical field is necessary, along with 5+ years of application development experience and 2 to 4 years of experience with AWS Serverless Architecture and containers.
