Remote Software Engineer, Backend

Description:

• Circle is seeking a Backend Engineer to contribute to the development of services for their wallet infrastructure and maintain code integrity.
• The role involves collaborating with front-end developers and team members to establish objectives and design cohesive codes.
• Responsibilities include building high-quality reusable code, conducting whitebox tests, optimizing performance, and participating in the overall application lifecycle.
• The position also entails staying updated on new technologies, providing support to team members, and participating in conferences and educational programs.

Requirements:

• 0-2+ years of professional software development experience in languages such as Go, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• A degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• Proficiency in API design, REST principles, and the ability to communicate a good design.
• Experience with Cloud Services (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, etc) and SQL databases.
• Willingness to learn new languages and technologies.
• Experience in deploying production-quality, scalable software.
• Strong focus on coding standards, code quality, and test coverage for continuous delivery.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with remote teams effectively.
• Self-starter with a curious mindset, capable of working at a fast pace with little supervision.
• Fluency in English.
