Remote Software Engineer - Backend (Golang)

Description:

• Automox is seeking a Software Engineer - Backend (Golang) to contribute to their cloud-native endpoint management platform.
• The role involves researching, designing, developing, and owning solutions that enhance the Automox platform, which operates on over 1 million endpoints globally across Windows, Mac, and Linux.
• The candidate will lead by example, championing software development best practices and writing well-designed code.
• Responsibilities include extending and evolving endpoint software, contributing to continual improvement through testing, performance tuning, refactoring, and automation.
• The engineer will produce detailed specifications and participate in all phases of the engineering lifecycle.
• A quality-first mindset is essential, with an emphasis on making data-driven decisions that impact development before production.

Requirements:

• Programming experience in Golang is recommended, but candidates should leverage their extensive engineering background to be impactful in any language.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in designing, developing, testing, monitoring, and maintaining cloud-connected client-side applications is required.
• Experience as a Software Engineer developing content and content delivery applications for SaaS platforms and Agent/IoT software is necessary.
• Strong familiarity with systems programming, networking, virtual machine orchestration, DevOps, and shell-scripting languages (Bash/Powershell) is expected.
• Experience in application development for Windows, Linux, and/or MacOS is required.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a tightly knit, cross-functional remote team environment are essential.
