The Cody Prime team is responsible for the Enterprise service layer for Cody, which includes building secure services for authorization and authentication.
Responsibilities include developing a roadmap for abuse detection, extending analytics services for usage metering, license management, billing, and rate limiting.
Within the first month, new hires will onboard onto Sourcegraph's architecture and development workflow, understand team ownership, and start contributing to team goals.
By three months, employees will demonstrate understanding of the Cody Prime service stack and contribute to feature implementation in Go and JavaScript.
By six months, they will have a deep understanding of Cody Gateway and Cody Analytics products and collaborate on cross-team projects.

Requirements:

Clear and empathetic communication skills are essential.
Proficiency in Go or other strongly typed languages, with a willingness to learn Go quickly.
General knowledge of deploying and managing services in cloud environments such as GCP, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
Experience in architecting, debugging, and reasoning about moderately complex distributed systems.
Ability to reason about API performance and service monitoring in distributed systems.
Eagerness to assist other engineers with institutional knowledge.
Experience working in small, high-performing teams, preferably in tech startups.
Working hours must overlap with 9am-5pm PT for at least 15 hours per week.

The target compensation for the IC2 role varies by zone, starting from $58,000 to $145,000 USD.
