Remote Software Engineer (Full-Stack), Taxes & Bookkeeping

Description:

• Found is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join their Taxes & Bookkeeping Team.
• The team is responsible for developing tax, bookkeeping, and payment products to assist self-employed individuals.
• The engineer will work on building core bookkeeping functionality, expanding Accountant tools, enhancing the paid subscription offering, and improving Invoicing product features.
• Recent team accomplishments include launching an Accountant portal, embedded tax filing experience, transaction import feature, scaling tax calculation jobs, and tap to pay functionality.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with engineers, designers, and product managers, designing features, determining deployment strategies, and writing secure code.

Requirements:

• Must have 3+ years of experience with backend and frontend frameworks.
• Should have knowledge of Ruby on Rails, React, Typescript, MySQL, and Redis.
• Passion for continuous learning and growth as an engineer.
• Previous startup experience or technical initiative on projects is a plus.
• Interest or experience in financial services, accounting, or self-employment.
• Experience with tax-related products or services is beneficial.
• Previous experience as a manager, tech lead, architect, or founding engineer is a bonus.
