As a Software Engineer, you will help scale one of the most advanced food ordering platforms in the market.
The role requires a full-stack engineer with experience in designing, developing, scaling, and monitoring solutions in the core ordering platform.
The company values a neat codebase with automated tests and continuous integration, encouraging constant refactoring and experimentation.
This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the United Kingdom.
You will be contracted to Olo through Deel, an Employer of Record, which handles the legal and administrative responsibilities of your employment.
You will maintain a day-to-day relationship with Olo while Deel will be your point of contact for job-related matters.
You will retain all employment rights under local law and be eligible for private healthcare coverage and statutory benefits.
Requirements:
You must have 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with excellent knowledge of C#, .NET, and object-oriented concepts.
You should have 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining scalable React applications using modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries, with a preference for TypeScript.
Hands-on experience with RDBMS development is required.
You must have experience collaborating with UX/UI designers to implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
You should be adept at writing unit tests and testable code, and working under distributed version control, preferably Git.
An in-depth understanding of Windows, Linux, database, and networking concepts is necessary.
You must have hands-on experience instrumenting, deploying, and monitoring production code.
A working knowledge of F# or functional programming is highly desirable, or you should be open to learning functional programming.
Strong knowledge of building and maintaining distributed systems, leveraging cloud platforms and services such as AWS, Kafka, Redis, and Docker is required.
You should demonstrate leadership skills by mentoring peers and collaborating effectively across teams to deliver solutions aligned with business priorities.
Benefits:
The estimated compensation range for this position is £52,000 - £65,000 annually for a Software Engineer and £56,000 - £70,000 annually for a Senior Software Engineer, depending on experience.
