Description:

Checkr is seeking a Software Engineer II to enhance fair background checks for enterprise customers.
The role involves building and evolving software for large-scale web scraping operations.
Responsibilities include researching and developing techniques to bypass anti-bot services, designing and improving system architecture for data acquisition, and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
The engineer will recommend technologies to craft the technology strategy and help define and lead cross-functional initiatives.
Mentoring and guiding other software developers in the scraping department is also a key responsibility.
The position requires creating documentation about techniques, applications, and good software practices.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of full-stack software development experience.
Experience with web scraping is essential.
Proficiency in Python, Java, C#, Javascript, HTML, CSS, HTTP protocols, and SQL is required.
A solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including relational databases, data structures and algorithms, Object Relational Mapping, REST APIs, microservices, Test Driven Development, Domain Driven Design, and both functional and object-oriented programming is necessary.
A strong sense of ownership and the ability to collaborate with teammates and stakeholders is expected.
