Description:

  • Instructure is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join their remote team in Mexico.
  • The role involves driving the development of transformative SaaS services for digital learning and credentialing.

  • The tech stack includes Java, Spring, Springboot, React 16.8+, GraphQL, JavaScript, TypeScript, NextJS, Docker, Kubernetes, Postgres, Hibernate/JPA, Redis, EKS, and AWS cloud technologies.
  • Responsibilities include taking ownership of technical aspects, prioritizing team success, translating business needs into technical strategies, and maintaining high technical standards.
  • The engineer will create documentation, architecture diagrams, and prototypes, deliver high-quality code, and collaborate with various teams to implement best practices.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of three years of industry, enterprise-level software development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented concepts, design patterns, coding standards, and performance improvements is required.
  • Solid experience with Java (JDK 11 and greater) and building Spring Boot RESTful APIs is necessary.
  • Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript is essential.
  • Candidates should have experience coding modern UI using React and related libraries.
  • Proficiency in SQL and JPA/Hibernate is required.
  • Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices is necessary.
  • Experience with tools like Git, Maven, IntelliJ, or VSCode is required.
  • Candidates should have experience in an Agile, Lean, and DevOps organization and culture.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead technical initiatives are essential.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, along with experience in leading technical teams and projects, are required.
  • A bias towards action and the ability to produce artifacts that clarify and advance technical discussions is necessary.
