Remote Software Engineer II

Description:

• The Software Engineer II at Circle will be responsible for extending the company's in-house blockchain systems infrastructure to support the tokenization of the world.
• They will analyze requirements, procedures, and problems to enhance existing systems and modify systems as needed.
• The role involves building and owning scalable microservices responsible for reliable and secure APIs transferring value and assets across blockchain and traditional banking protocols.
• Collaboration with Product and Engineering teams to design, test, and shape Circle features is essential.
• Troubleshooting program and system malfunctions to restore normal functioning is part of the responsibilities.
• Building publicly accessible APIs for developers to integrate with complex payment systems is a key aspect.
• Integrating Platform Services with leading banks and financial technologies is also part of the role.
• Writing infrastructure to deliver excellent payment experiences, including data sources, messaging systems, and APIs, is required.
• Other duties as assigned by the company.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2-4 years of professional software development experience in object-oriented languages like Java and Go.
• A degree in Computer Science or a closely related field (or foreign equivalent).
• Broad understanding of API design and REST principles, with the ability to derive and communicate a good design.
• Experience with Cloud Services (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, etc).
• Proficiency in SQL databases and designing schemas.
• Willingness and ability to learn unfamiliar languages and technologies.
• Experience in deploying production-quality, scalable software.
• Focus on coding standards and code quality with speed, including a desire for great test coverage to enable continuous delivery.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with remote teams, share ideas, and present concepts effectively.
• Self-starter with a curious mindset, enjoying a fast-paced environment, shipping software that enhances user experience, and constantly improving work with little supervision.

Benefits:

• This position is eligible for day-one PERM sponsorship for qualified candidates.
• Base Pay Range: $125,000 - $162,500.
• Annual Bonus Target: 10%.
