Description:

  • As a Software Engineer at Carta, you will be responsible for building and shaping the Valuations products.
  • You will design and code highly available, secure, and scalable platforms and user experiences.
  • Adherence to test-driven development (TDD), maintaining high levels of code coverage and automation is essential.
  • Conducting timely and thoughtful peer code reviews to ensure code quality.
  • Leveraging logging and monitoring of platforms to improve observability.
  • Instrumenting system performance and business metrics to optimize operations.
  • You will work closely with business and engineering teams to navigate a unique product space intersecting with Cap Table Management, Taxes, and Investor Products.
  • Joining the Valuations team, you will contribute to developing solutions for fast and accurate valuations across various domains.
  • Projects may include new customer user experiences, data platforms, 3rd party integrations, and tools for financial analysts.
  • Your work will directly impact how the world values assets.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of full-stack or frontend engineering experience.
  • Desire to become a product domain expert and refine ambiguous product requirements to deliver customer value.
  • Experience working with SaaS products with microservices.
  • Passion for tech stack elements like ReactJS, Java, Python, Datadog, GRPC / GraphQL, Kafka, K8s, AWS.
  • Excitement to collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product, business, and marketing.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Eagerness to move fast while building for the future.
  • Empathy, valuing psychological safety and diversity in a team environment.
